In Honor of Grandma Frances and Grandma Gemma

At all my craft parties we honor my two grandmothers. Grandma Frances was the ultimate Christmas Crafter. In her long life she adored Christmas and celebrated her passion by creating many handmade decorations. She recycled long before it was fashionable and only occasionally purchased actual "craft supplies".

Grandma Gemma was afflicted by Alzheimers Disease for many many years. Long before I was aquainted with Joy's House, I knew that my aunt, as primary caregiver, regularly took Grandma Gemma to a similar day facility and I was so grateful that my aunt had that option because they lived so far from us.

Sadly, both grandmas have left us for greater realms. So in my little way, I like to remember and honor them at these craft parties.

1999 - beewax candles
2000 - wire and glass marble icicles
2001 - gumdrop people, pipecleaner wreaths and stockings
2002 - dexterity game stocking stuffers, recycled Christmas card ornaments and garland
2003 - partridge in a pear tree wire trees, wool penny ornaments
2004 - wreath making 101, glass block lights, glittered plastic toys
2005 - tree mobile, popsicle stick sled ornament, peppermint creations
2006 - wool and ribbon banners, flower pens, chandelier crystal angels
2007 - (the crazy year) button wreaths, origami frames, wire stars, beaded pointsettias, wool and button scrap ornaments, cardboard houses, wine cork tassels, ribbon candy
2008 - glass bubble magnets, wool cupcakes, quilled paper garland, cardboard houses
2009 - pinecone gnomes, felted wool birds or scrap wreaths, small box diorama ornaments
2010 - hidden compartment matchbox ornaments, wool mitten garlands, miniature boxwood topiaries
2012 - Cone trees, wooden star and crystal ornaments
2013 - Upcycled quilt ornaments, bell jar ornaments
